The Palm Harbor U9 Girls take the “heart” at their coach’s wedding

Not bronze, silver or gold; not the cup or a trophy; the Palm Harbor U9 Girls took the “Heart” at the wedding of their coach, Gerald Czaja. Some say they stole it, but we have confirmed that while it was no easy feat, it was fairly won. Witnesses say that the players seemed to have trained for the event and were very well prepared even though it was held on the final day of their tryouts.

On Saturday morning, the players awoke and dressed out in training clothes with boots on. They attended the final tryout session, working hard to secure a spot on the team for the upcoming season. Then, as if they had trained for a set play, the girls cleaned up and donned pretty clothes and cute smiles. Reflecting their true teamwork, the girls then crashed their coach’s wedding ceremony in unison.

First, they gathered outside to discuss strategy and positions. Then they entered the sanctuary with a high level of confidence. Sitting smartly in the pews, they were hardly recognized by Coach Gerald, as he stated that they were “out of uniform.” However, they achieved success in the final minutes with a winning goal when they took positions around the new Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Czaja for a team photo.

We wish much happiness to Coach Gerald, his beautiful bride, Jenn, and their new extended family.
